This policy describes how the personal data of users who browse the site and interact with the services provided is processed, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Types of data processed

Browsing data

The IT systems and software used to run the site acquire, during normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols (e.g. IP addresses, browser type). This data is used for statistical and security purposes only with consent, through the third-party tools described in the Cookie policy.

Data provided voluntarily

Sending the contact form involves processing the data entered (first name, last name, company, email, message content) for the sole purpose of replying to the request. The form is delivered by email to the Controller via the site's own server, without external form-collection services.

Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to requests sent via the contact form. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures / legitimate interest in replying.
• Site usage statistics (Google Analytics). Legal basis: consent.

Tools and recipients (processors / third parties)

• Email provider: delivery of the contact form by email.
• Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.): usage statistics, active only with consent.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.): usage statistics (heatmaps and session recordings), active only with consent.
• Site hosting provider, for publishing and delivering the pages.

Some of these services may involve transferring data to non-EU countries: in that case the transfer takes place on the basis of the safeguards set out in Articles 44 ff. of the GDPR (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

Data retention

Contact form data is kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and to comply with any legal obligations. Statistical data is kept according to the retention times set in the respective tools.

Rights of the data subject

At any time you can exercise the rights under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability) and withdraw any consent given, by writing to privacy@montalbanofood.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority.
